Trip 1B
Upper 10-Mile Trip
The 10-mile trip starts with a shuttle from our Deer's Mill Livery (point 5 on map). Experience the same stretch of creek as Trip 1A minus the first 5 miles. This trip ends at our Deer's Mill Livery (point 7 on map). Depending on water level this trip typically takes *4 hours. Must register 30 minutes prior to departure time.
*DEPARTURE TIMES:
7 days/week: 9:30, 10:30, 11:30 a.m.
RATES: Includes Paddles, Life Jackets and Shuttle for 2 people per canoe or 1 per kayak.
Rental of 1-5 canoes/kayaks: $50.00+ tax per canoe/kayak
Rental of *6 or more canoes/kayaks: $45.00 + tax per canoe/kayak
Reservations are highly recommended at least one day ahead, space is limited!
Refundable late fee/damage deposit of $10.00 per canoe/kayak is required at time of rental. Additional fees will be charged for lost, broken or abandoned equipment.
Canoe rates are based on two people per canoe. Third person (small child ONLY-no canoe rental with three adults) $6.00

Trip 2
Lower 15-Mile Scenic Trip
The Lower Trip starts at our Deer's Mill Livery (point 7 on map) and meanders through Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park. You’ll float through deep canyons, beneath historic covered bridges, and maybe catch a glimpse of a Bald Eagle. Islands and beaches offer serene spots for picnicking, and looking for fossils and Indian relics. Winding through the heart of Parke County Covered Bridge Country, this trip is, no doubt, the most scenic in the Midwest. After 15 miles the trip ends at Cox Ford Covered Bridge (point 11 on map). Depending on water level this trip typically takes *6 hours. Must register 30 minutes prior to departure time.

Trip 3B
Overnight 25-Mile trip
This trip incorporates Trips 1B and 2 into a two-day, **two-night camping excursion. It is a 30-mile journey through the pristine wilderness corridor of Sugar Creek. The trip starts with a shuttle from our Deer's Mill Livery (point 7 on map) to Crawfordsville (point 1 on map). You’ll paddle between narrow channels, around large rocks, along shale bluffs, past historical landmarks, and through Pine Hills Nature Preserve (be on the watch for Bald Eagles). You'll end the first day at the Canyon campground (point 7 on map) which is located at the halfway point across the creek from our livery at Deer’s Mill Covered Bridge. You'll begin the second day of canoeing from the Canyon campground (point 7 on map) and meander through Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park. You’ll float through deep canyons and beneath historic covered bridges,winding through the heart of Parke County Covered Bridge Country. After 15-miles the second day the trip ends at Cox Ford Covered Bridge (point 11 on map). **On weekends this trip requires camping on Friday & Saturday. Must register 30 minutes prior to departure time.

Trip 3C
Overnight 20-Mile Trip
This trip incorporates Trips 4 and 2 into a two-day, **two-night camping excursion. It is a 20-mile journey through the pristine wilderness corridor of Sugar Creek. This trip starts with a short shuttle from our Deer's Mill Livery (point 7 on map) to Jim Davis Bridge (point 6 on map). This leisurely first day of paddling captures the scenery and wildlife of Pine Hills Nature Preserve. Enjoy time for a picnic, fossil and Indian relic hunting, Bald Eagle watching or fishing as you make your way down this stretch ending at the Canyon Campground (point 7 on map) which is located across the creek from our livery at Deer’s Mill Covered Bridge.You'll begin the second day of canoeing from the Canyon campground (point 7 on map) and meander through Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park. Trip 4
5-Mile Mini trip
The Mini Trip starts with a short shuttle from our Deer's Mill Livery (point 7 on map) to Jim Davis Bridge (point 6 on map). Ideal for families with small children or those who do not want an all day paddle, this leisure trip captures the scenery and wildlife of Pine Hills Nature Preserve. Enjoy time for a picnic, fossil and Indian relic hunting, or fishing as you make your way down this stretch, ending at our livery (point 7 on map). Depending on water level this trip typically takes *2-3 hours, but we give you the whole day so you can set your own pace. Must register 30 minutes prior to departure time.

Trip 5
Tube Trip 5-Mile
Enjoy a lazy day tubing while experiencing the same stretch of Sugar Creek as the Mini Trip (points 6 to 7 on map). Great for kids and adults who like to kick back and relax. Ideal for hot summer days, this is fun-in-the-sun! This float typically takes *3-5 hours, and there is no age limit (only one person per tube). Must register 30 minutes prior to departure time.
*DEPARTURE TIMES:
9:00, 10:00, 11:00a.m. and 12:00 pm daily. Available Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
RATES: Includes Life Jacket and Shuttle for 1 person.
Rental of 1-11 tubes: $25.00 + tax per tube
Rental of *12 or more tubes: $22.00 + tax per tube
Reservations are highly recommended at least one day ahead, space is limited!
Cooler tube (Rectangular Tube for cooler): $25.00 + tax each
Refundable late fee/damage deposit of $5.00 per tube is required at time of rental. Additional fees will be charged for lost, broken or abandoned equipment.
Tube rates are based on one person per tube.

Sugar Creek water levels change often in the spring and summer. Follow the link below to see current levels. We run canoes up to the 3 ft. mark on the gauge to experienced paddlers that are 18 yrs and older. We start putting restictions on trips at the 2.7 ft.. Below 2.7 ft. there are no resictions. Please be aware that water levels do change rapidly after times of heavy rains and may not always show on the gauge at Crawfordsville do to our office being 15 miles down stream of the gauge.
